Name: Antrodus
Story appearances: Antrodus series (in development)
Height: 49 meters
Length: 105 meters
Weight: 18,000 tons
Origin Story: Antrodus is a mutant Androdemus, a theropod dinosaur closely related to Allosaurus. In the late Jurassic period, he was abducted by aliens and subjected to several bizarre and horrible experiments, to create a monster for a combat tournament they had. He was stored in a life support cell temporarily, however after an intergalactic war his capsule was left untouched on Earth. Millions of years later, his capsule finally gives out and breaks, letting Antrodus free.
Personality: Antrodus is significantly more intelligent than an average Antrodemus, though not quite sentient, he can still reason out plans with other monsters due to his inherent pack hunting nature. Antrodus considers mass death as a waste, as in his own time such a rare super abundance of death, such as after a natural disaster, would draw other carnivores and most of the food would simply rot into a state that even they couldn’t eat.
Special Abilities:
Carbon Pseudo Flame: Antrodus is capable of expelling a blast of carbon-destroying purple ‘flame’, which, while devastating against Earth kaiju, is nearly useless against mechs and aliens with a different biochemistry. Also, kaiju with regenerative abilities can heal the damage easily.
Energize Spines: Antrodus can charge his spines with light green energy, causing them to easily cut through nearly any material.
Energy Fist: Antrodus can concentrate his energy, usually used for his spines or psuedo flame, into his fists, for an extremely powerful punch with massive knockback.
Strength: Antrodus is only slightly above average in strength, capable of lifting a slightly larger monster over his head for a heaving throw with significant effort.
Speed: Antrodus is a quick and agile kaiju, and his fighting style reflects this. When running, he can easily leave monsters as swift as King Caeser in the dust, though can be outpaced by Zilla and flown circles around by Megaguirus.
Regeneration: Antrodus is capable of moderate regeneration, healing wounds quickly, though not nearly as quickly as an exceptional regenerator such as Godzilla.
Combat style: Antrodus prefers to fight offensively, as his defense is somewhat lacking. He frequently utilizes martial arts, from aikido and judo to karate and touches of ninjitsu, taught to him by another, far more intelligent and skilled monster than himself. However, when panicked, Antrodus will resort to a more animalistic frenzy, especially if he is pinned by another kaiju. Antrodus prefers to attack at mid-range, leaping in and out quickly to strike and stay out of range of the opponent’s physical attacks while also being at a convenient range for his psuedo flame.
Strengths and weaknesses: Antrodus is an exceptional tooth and claw fighter, though he is lacking in ranged attacks. While possessing tough, pebble like scales which act like an effective chain mail, his hide isn’t among the toughest. His regeneration can be overwhelmedwith enough damage taken, and while he is above average in most catagories, he isn’t specialized in any one area, so against a monster that greatly excels in one area he could be outmatched.
Sample Fight:
Antrodus Vs. Anguirus, Washington D.C.
Antrodus circled around Anguirus, egging the spiny dinosaur on to make the first move. He preferred countering attacks, using the opponent’s force to his advantage. What he didn’t expect though, was the sudden tail club to his shin. Falling over with a pained howl, Antrodus grabbed his shin and winced then, alarmed, opened his eyes to look for Anguirus. Feeling his regeneration taking care of his badly cut and bruised shin bones, he looked around for his foe. Seeing no sign of him, Antrodus did a mental check of how to use his environment. Setting his eyes on the Washington Monument, Antrodus growled to himself in satisfaction. Giving the upper portion a swift kick, he broke off the top and hefted it in his hands. It had some nice weight to it, it’d make a good weapon. However, before he had a chance to use it, Anguirus into Antrodus’s back, knocking him on his face. He was starting to get angry. Antrodus chucked the debris at the speeding saurian, throwing of his momentum. Anguirus skidded to a stop, belly side up, when Antrodus leapt into the air and drove his heal into the ankylosaur’s gut on the landing. Antrodus then grabbed Anguirus’s wrist and twisted, wrenching it out of the socket. Anguirus screeched, but Antrodus was just getting started. Spines glowing, he let loose a blast of his carbon psuedo-flame, carving out a destructive path of destruction on his opponent’s chest, exposing Anguirus’s ribcage. Anguirus screamed in newfound agony, and managed to kick the blue theropod off of him, and rolled away. Uncoiling and sliding to a stop a short distance away, Anguirus roared a challenge. Antrodus replied, and let his spines charge with energy again. Anguirus rolled back, gaining speed rapidly, Right when it looked like Anguirus would slam his shell into Antrodus again, Antrodus lashed out with his energized, bladed tail, leaving a bloody wound in his shell. Angurius shrieked, but managed to land on his feet behind Antrodus. The quilled dinosaur sunk his crocodilian teeth into Antrodus’s calf muscles, tearing out a sizeable clump. Screaming out as well at this point, Antrodus fell to his knee, hand planted on the ground. Anguirus stalked closer, ready to finish him off. Antrodus focused, knowing this would be his last shot. Charging up as much of his energy as possible, mentally willing it to flow into his fist, more and more, until his hand was covered in a glowing, lime green mass of light. Roaring, Antrodus lashed out with an uppercut, effectively destroying Anguirus’s head. The effort drained him however, and he was exhausted. Staggering to his feet, Antrodus managed to take about half a dozen steps before falling into the White House, unconscious.
