For all new and prospective members of the Fan Fiction Kaiju Tournament, welcome!
For those newcomers who haven't been completely introduced, the FFKT is a competition where people with creative imaginations and writers of kaiju fan fiction may pit their creations against one another to see who the 'real' King of the Monsters is. That is the essential concept, and all those who have been in other tournaments of similar nature should be able to pick up on the rest.
The principle difference between this one and others, however, is the way character submission and approval is handled.
The main difference is that there is no public posting of kaiju. Instead, all submissions and approvals will be handled through a private subboard accessable only to staff and yourself. Noone else will be able to look in it and read about your kaiju. This is to insure fair play and discourage an escalating war of ever more powerful kaiju being created.
1. Private Board
If you intend on signing up for the FFKT, you must first send one of the staff a PM with the password for your private board. Once this is done that staff member or another will create your board, and when it is setup you may begin posting your kaiju.
2. Approval
Approval and examination of the kaiju happens much like in past FFKT's; after you post, staff will examine the creature to see whether it follows the guidelines (as detailed in another post) and is acceptable within bounds deemed by them. They will then post any thoughts, including what to alter. It is within your best interests to do as told; arguing will only make disapproval and possible disqualification (if things get out of hand) all the more likely.
Upon approval, your kaiju will be marked as such until the end of the signup period, when it will be accessable to public veiwing. Stats will be added to it, and it may be used in future tournaments after that point.
For specifics on kaiju creation and tournament rules, see the FFKT Rules & Regulations, in this board.
