Name: Valley on the Ring Of Death
Story appearances: Antrodus Series
Size: 30 square miles (lengthwise) 10 square miles (across)
Description: On a massive artificial Ring World, multiple alien races gathered some of the toughest, biggest, and meanest life in the galaxy and just tossed ‘em on the planet to duke it out. Over time, each of the species evolved larger and stronger to compete. Meanwhile, the aliens sent in some machines with various cameras to observe the combat. Of course, the robots can’t afford to be pushovers either, and many of them can go toe to toe with the monsters themselves. This particular valley is a highly prized arena, containing terrain from most of the major life supporting planets. Most of them are reasonably earth-like, but in certain areas the terrain itself seems alive, like a bizarre fungus which sporadically raises in freakish plant-like organisms. The cliffs effectively pen in the combatants, with the river flowing in and out being too narrow at those points, while it can easily give aquatic beasts an edge.
Hazards and Notable Landmarks: The flora and fauna are all very aggressive and defensive, and at best they’ll only attack things near them and at worst, anything they see. Populated with giant elephants, theropods, birds, snakes, and numerous alien species. While most of the monsters aren’t large enough to pose any threat to genuine kaiju, the elephants are very dangerous. With both males and females constantly in Must, they’re freakishly aggressive, and the smallest are fifty feet tall, with the largest pushing 75. Several of the plants are dangerous, lashing out with vines, harpoon-esque tentacles, and large (50 feet across) subterranean mouths. However, the largest beast is the resident top predator, Sudraktor, who does not appreciate guests. Fortunately for the fighter’s, his flesh is soft, squishy, and easy to tear or crush, having a similar consistency to mold and other fungi.
