Name: Kaiju Canyons
Story appearances: Area 51 Unleashed
Size: 30 square miles
Description: A series of canyons blocked off by (easily destroyed) man made walls.
Hazards and Notable Landmarks: Follow the picture above, starting from the top left area, to understand this list.
Entrance. The rock wall would collapse at the beginning of the fight, opening the way to...
Canyon 1: The two pinkish blobs are giant ant hills, filled with 5 meter tall giant ants. Said ants would only attack should the anthills be disturbed. They can’t do a lot of damage to kaiju, serving as more of an irritant than a damaging hazard, but they’ll attack until the kaiju break into...
Canyon 2: Basically a flat landscape. That discolored part is actually the lair of a giant trap door spider. Said spider isn’t really a hazard, though, since all it does is leap out at kaiju to scare them away (essentially doing the monster equivalent of yelling “Boo.”). He will keep up this threat display until they leave Canyon 2, since every time they attack him he’ll return to his hiding spot very quickly.
Canyon3: It’s pretty much barren. The battle could end here, or it could move on to...
Canyon 4: With several plateaus for kaiju to climb, some human bunkers, and some automated missile launchers strapped to the walls of the canyon, this is probably the most fun part of the environment. The missiles do no more damage than they would in a standard kaiju flick, so they shouldn’t be more than a pest to most kaiju.
