Name: Isla de la Beastia(Monster Island)
Story appearances: Rygama series episodes 4+
Size: 1,200 square miles
Description:
A warm, tropical climate, Monster Island is dominated by lush jungle. It's a fairly mountainous terrain, dotted with hills and mountains. To the north lies a series of tall mountains, valleys and plateaus. To the south sit the ruins of a large city. The abandoned remains of Ned Wolf's genetics facility sit underground beneath the city, easily taking up half of its area.
There are two large freshwater lakes for aquatic monsters, though the very fact that it's a flipping island should probably already suffice in that regard.
To the east, sitting on its own smaller island is the Monster Island Research Facility. This facility is guarded by some high caliber weaponry, useful for keeping lesser beasts at bay.
Hazards and Notable Landmarks:
Many of Wolf's experiments are still alive. The jungles swarm with mutated dinosaurs. Worse still, the spread of the Rage virus has mutated much of the fauna, creating countless smaller monsters. While few of these pose any real threat, there are some nasties running around.
Two warring hives of immense hornets are placed on opposite sides of the island. These mutant wasps are each the size of trailers and capable of delivering EXTREMELY painful stings if disturbed.
Not far from the lake, to the north, sits a stretch of land completely covered in virtually unbreakable adhesive silk. This is the lair of the monstrous Die Spinne. The mutant spider is content to leave victims trapped in his web to dine on at his leisure, but should he himself be threatened, he will quickly lash out at all parties, hoping to drive them away.
